CELEBRATIONS OF LIFE
It is a true privilege to meet with a family at their time of losing a loved one and work with them to create a service from their stories and reflections. With many years of experience, from the tragedy of the loss of a new life hardly begun - to the joys of reflecting on a long and wonderful life, lived to its fullest. Each service and family meeting is unique and handled with empathy and care.
I have worked with palliative patients, grandparents and new parents, working to record both living and past memories to create personal services, memorial services, internment services and graveside services. I work with families to find just the right fit for the type of service they would like to have to celebrate a life that has been unique and special.
It can be a worthwhile experience to plan what things you might like to consider, to begin writing and recording the events and stories dear to you in preparation for a time when emotions are heightened and difficult to negotiate the way forward. I welcome your enquiry.
"Dear Ruth, I would sincerely like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing such a beautiful service for Dad. I have had so many comments from people saying how lovely it was.
Your professionalism and sincerity made a really difficult time seem much easier. I didn't feel like I was sitting with a stranger going through Dad's life. Many thanks."
"We think mum had a lovely send off and we really appreciate your input. Dad was so pleased with the service, he keeps saying how wonderful it was. It was so very, very important to him that this was a celebration of her life- your gift for simple but meaningful expression, captured her so well and painted a picture that resonated with us all. We were fortunate to have crossed paths with you for this special occasion."
"Travis and I just wanted to say thanks for everything from our wedding in October. You made everything so easy for us but also really listened to how we wanted the day to go... Thank you for making it such a relaxed and fun experience for both of us. You allowed us to relax and enjoy the moment. We couldn't of asked for a better celebrant to share our day with. Thanks again for everything!"
— Bernie & Travis

You were supportive, creative and most of all genuine in your care to make our day run smoothly and for the day to be all we ever wanted it to be. The ceremony was absolutely perfect and I couldn't think of a more better person to do our service. Thank you very much xo "

"Could not recommend Ruth more highly. She was exactly what we were after in a celebrant.. relaxed and tailored to suit us and our style. Ruth took on board everything that we said we wanted for our ceremony and it all went off without a hitch. We received information to help us in the lead up to our wedding as well as even months after to help us filing for our marriage certificate etc. Ruth thank you so very much for your part in making our wedding as perfect as it was!"
